Highway 59 - Hard Driving Classic Rock Band

Highway 59 is a 5-piece rock and classic rock cover band, playing a wide range of song favourites from both yesterday and today - but mostly yesterday. Based out of Winnipeg MB, we deliver a collection of classics that keep audiences dancing and longing from the nostalgia of music from better days while avoiding the tunes that have been beaten to death for the past two decades.

If you are looking for a band to play your bar, fundraiser or charity event, private party, or corporate event in Winnipeg... or anywhere... contact us.

News & Reviews

October 21, 2017 marked our first appearance at the New Club St. B. in St. Boniface. We enjoyed performing for friends that came from as far away as Melbourne, Australia and North Dakota/Minnesota (Erin's big birthday bash). Thank you to Greg Dwornick for making us sound so good!

September 15, 2017 was the scene of a classic night at the Manitoba Club playing at the IAFP conference. It was no surprise to have this fun crew up and dancing from song one. Thanks for having us and let's do it again!

The band had the honour of performing at two Assassins Rugby Football Club events in August. On the 19th, we hit The Edge at the old St. Vital Hotel. Brought back memories for more than one band member! Then on August 26th, we took the stage at the club's 50th anniversary reunion at the beautiful The Met in downtown Winnipeg. What a fabulous night! Thank you for having us. It was quite the night (ending in some Tarps Off - but that's rugby!).

Pinawa Birthday Celebrations on July 15, 2017 turned out to be a HUGE success. Thank you to Tasha for booking us and we'd love to come back next year. Very entertaining crowd to enjoy while entertaining. Thanks to Hal Ryckman for sub drumming at the event. Rocked it! Hope to see you next year, Pinawa!

After a five month hiatus, we were VERY pleased to be back at the King's Head Pub. As always, thank you to our friends and fans for coming out and supporting us. We had a BLAST!

May 20th at Northern Harbour in Kenora was full of fun. Great reconnecting with friends and acquaintances during the season opener. Thanks again for having us, Gary and Barb Hall!

So behind in website updates. Sorry about that. We had a great time at Crescentwood CC for the Winter Carnival this past January and then at the King's Head on Friday, March 3rd. We had a Darryless gig, but Gary managed to play the keys and hammer down on the guitar strings at the same time to get us through. Always a hoot and a half. Thanks to all that came out to hang with us!

The first Friday of the year at the King's Head Pub, January 6th, proved that people weren't finished partying on NYE! So fun and the band was able to showcase six new tunes. Will be back at the pub on Friday, March 3rd so COME ON DOWN!

New Year's Eve at Travelodge Winnipeg East was a blast! The theme was "Party Like a Rock Star" and we sure did. Check out photos on our Facebook page. Thank you to Jeff McMaster for playing the keys!

The band played at a private event on Thursday, November 17th at the King's Head. A great time was had by all!

Had a great time at the King's Head on September 30th where we got to celebrate Yvonne's birthday amongst a roomful of fun, enthusiastic folks. Great to see Gary after his summer playing out with Harlequin. Back at the King's Head on January 6th so mark it on your calendars!

On August 13th, the band ventured off to rural Manitoba to play a special birthday party for Al in Balmoral, MB. Pig roast, bonfire, and band. Doesn't get better than that! Thanks to "the master" Jeff McMaster for covering the keys. A great time was had by all!

Highway 59 is taking the month of July off, but I'm sure you will be able to catch our own Gary Golden somewhere around Canada with his other band, Harlequin! Click here to read more!
